Faith formation is growing in one’s relationship with God. By understanding the Bible and faith traditions, we can deepen our spiritual life and practices by participating in our faith community. The SNCP Faith Formation Program is a collaborative effort by all three parishes.

Catechists for elementary and middle school faith formation programs pass on their faith and Catholic teachings to the children and youth of our parishes. All classes are held at the SD campus. Teaching responsibilities may be shared with a co-catechist. Support from the DRE will be provided. All leaders must be safe guard trained.

AGES: Adults and high school teens.

TIME COMMITMENT: Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. and/or Wednesday afternoons at 5:30 p.m., from mid-September thru April. Some prep time is required.

Adults are invited to support our high school faith formation program as small group leaders or helpers. This role focuses on accompanying teens in conversation, building relationships, and fostering growth in faith. All volunteers must complete Safe Environment training.

AGES: Adults.

TIME COMMITMENT: Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. and based on project/retreat dates.

This program is for elementary, middle, and high school age students. Totus Tuus is a nationwide Catholic youth program, led by summer missionaries (college students). Volunteers are needed to assist in classrooms, donate snacks, monitor recess time, and attend Mass with the children.

AGES: Teens and adults.

TIME COMMITMENT: One week, early to mid-summer, and as available to help set up.

Adult faith formation allows us to actively learn and live Jesus’ call by equipping adults to deepen our relationship with Jesus and to share our faith as disciples. This includes bible study groups, but so much more…it involves creating opportunities to meet people where they are in their relationship with Christ.

AGES: Adults.

TIME COMMITMENT: Weekly, monthly, and one-time opportunities throughout the year.

Considering the Catholic Church?

If you’ve felt drawn to the beauty of the Mass or a deeper relationship with God, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) may be your next step.

OCIA is a welcoming process for adults who wish to explore the Catholic faith — whether you're unbaptized, baptized in another Christian tradition, or a Catholic seeking to complete your Sacraments.

Our program at Holy Name, St. Dominic, and St. Clement Parishes occurs all year. Sessions include prayer, Scripture, and engaging discussions on Catholic teaching and life.

Let’s start the conversation. Reach out to our OCIA coordinator at Kym Leibham at 920-458-5390 or email leibhamk@sheboygannorthparishes.org. More information can be found on the Becoming Catholicpage.

AGES: 18 and older

TIME COMMITMENT: OCIA sessions are held on the second and fourth Sundays, beginning in September, from 9:00–10:15 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.
